Responsibilities The Software Test Engineer ·
Shall provide technical leadership for all aspects of software
system testing.

Shall own, develop, enforce and maintain the software quality
plan.
·
Shall define and execute the system software test process and
strive for >50% automation.
·
Shall provide hands-on technical leadership for all system test
activities, leading a team of system testers who may be geographically
distributed.
·
Shall conduct performance and system testing and lead the teams
for delivering high quality world-class products.
·
Shall interface closely with the development groups, providing
input on functionality and design, and assisting in functional testing.
·
Shall work closely with the Operations group providing the
first-line interface to engineering.
Qualifications o
7+ years of software QA/software development experience.
o
Evaluate existing test methodologies, automation framework and
tools;
o
Develop test cases, perform data validation, Conduct performance,
system testing
o
Write scripts to test the product using Perl, Shell, Python &
Tcl/Tk scripts,
o
Drive the QA processes and methodology to deliver a world class
product.
o
Perform root cause analysis to identify problems in design and/or
implementation
Job Requirements: o
Test methodologies: API testing, integration, regression, System,
performance testing, etc.
o
Good experience in Scripting, Perl, Shell, Python, Tcl/Tk &
SQL
o
Proven experience in QA life cycle, from test plan, test
execution, to reporting bugs
o
Knowledge of software development models and their impact to
testing
o
Experience working with wireless standards/protocols
preferably GSM and/or UMTS at both network and Radio interface and/or exposure
to RF and core network.
o
Strong experience in networking, TCP/IP,
Routing and SS7,Sigtran protocols, Scripting and Unix
o
Experience with standard protocol testing tools like
Tektronix(INET) and MGTS
o
Demonstrated project management and group leadership (track record
of accurate scheduling, planning, and delivering quality products).
o
Co-coordinating with off-shore teams for monitoring test execution
o
Excellent Oral and written communication skills
